CASA DE LUNA is a small breeder of fine Spanish horses or
Pure Raza
Español (PRE). All our horses are registered with the CRIA
CABRAR. We are located in beautiful hills of Santa Barbara
County.
We produce one or two quality foals a year. Our goal is to breed
athletic, beautiful Pure Spanish Andalusian horses with kind,
highly trainable temperaments, suitable for Dressage and /or
Breeding, from proven bloodlines . We breed for a free swinging,
four beat walk, an arrow straight trot with suspension and
extension and a balanced canter. Our stock is from the most highly
recognized breeding farms in the world including Hampton Green Farm
and the Escalera Farm in Spain. All our foals are imprinted at
birth and are fed a proper diet to insure health in later years.
The Andalusian (or Spanish Horse) is one of the ancient breeds of
the world. This breed founded nearly all of the known breeds as well
as improving others. These horses were the original dressage
horses.
Andalusians are known today for their excellent temperaments and
athletic ability, strong feet and dense bone. They excel in
dressage, driving, jumping and of course bull-fighting. They are
also usually easy keepers able to keep weight on eating low protein
grasses and live off of pasture easily.
We would be happy to answer any questions you may have regarding
this rare and magnificent breed of horse.
